Posting a Shareable on Social Media

Sharing on Facebook

To share a Shareable on Facebook, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Shareables tab in the left hand navigation menu. 
  2. Select a Shareable to share on Facebook.
  3. Add your branding* (optional). 
  4. Copy the suggested caption (optional).
    • Helpful Tip: Because social media posts are considered advertising, make sure you are complying with applicable regulations and social media policies. We suggest that you include details about your business, including your name, license number, the name of your firm, all other information that may be required for compliance, as well as the appropriate Equal Housing Opportunity logo.
  5. Click on the Facebook Share button under step four, Take an action!Screenshot 2023-10-27 at 5.26.11 PM.png
  6. Paste the caption in the post. 
  7. Click Post to Facebook

Posting to your Facebook Business Page

Complete the previous steps 1-4 and then follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on the Share button under step four, Take an action!
  2. Click Copy next to the URL.Screenshot 2024-04-15 at 1.54.52 PM.png
  3. Login to your Facebook business page. 
  4. Paste the link and caption in a post.
  5. Click Post

Pro Tip: You can hide the URL from the post by simply deleting it. The URL will remain on the photo.  


Sharing on Instagram

To share on Instagram, first navigate to the Shareable you would like to share:

  1. Click on the Shareables tab in the left hand navigation menu. 
  2. Select a Shareable to post Instagram.
  3. Add your branding* (optional). 
  4. Copy the suggested caption (optional).
    • Helpful Tip: Because social media posts are considered advertising, make sure you are complying with applicable regulations and social media policies. We suggest that you include details about your business, including your name, license number, the name of your firm, all other information that may be required for compliance, as well as the appropriate Equal Housing Opportunity logo.
  5. Click the Download button under Take an action!

Next, post it on Instagram:

  1. Open the Instagram app
  2. Click on the + icon. 
    1. You can find this at the bottom of the instagram mobile application.Screenshot 2023-10-27 at 5.38.41 PM copy.png
    2. Or on the left hand navigation menu on the desktop browser.
    3. Select the shareable image from your downloads or photo library.
      • Pro tip: Make sure to adjust the size of the image by pinching it or adjusting the ratios so the full image is visible.
    4. Click Next twice
    5. Paste the recommended caption from the shareable landing page, or write your own
      • Pro tip: Don’t forget your #hashtags – they make your post more searchable.
      • OptionalClick the toggle next to Facebook to automatically share the same image and caption on those platforms as well
    6. Click Share.

Done! Your photo should upload and post within a few seconds. 


Sharing on LinkedIn

First, navigate to the Shareable you would like to post on LinkedIn.

  1. Click on the Shareables tab in the left hand navigation menu. 
  2. Select a Shareable you would like post on LinkedIn.
  3. Add your branding* (optional). 
  4. Copy the suggested caption (optional).
    • Helpful Tip: Because social media posts are considered advertising, make sure you are complying with applicable regulations and social media policies. We suggest that you include details about your business, including your name, license number, the name of your firm, all other information that may be required for compliance, as well as the appropriate Equal Housing Opportunity logo.
  5. Click on Share under Take an Action! 
  6. Click the LinkedIn Share button.
  7. Click Share in a Post
  8. Paste the caption or add your own. 
  9. Click Post.

Done! Your photo should upload and post within a few seconds.
