Importing Clients in Bulk for Home Report for Agents

Need to upload multiple clients at once to Home Report? Watch the video or follow the instructions below. 

1. Click Add Clients.

2. Click Import Clients.

3. Next, take a look at your file. Click View example to see a sample import file.


The closer your file matches the example, the faster it will likely be uploaded. To prepare your file for import, follow our import rules and tips below:

  • Your file must be in a CSV or XLS format.
  • If your file has extra fields, combined fields (like first and last name), or separated address components, don't worry — we’ll clean it up for you.
  • Required Fields: Your file must include the following information to upload clients successfully:
    • Name (first and last)
    • Address (street, city, state, and ZIP code)
    • Email address
  • Highly Recommended Fields: While not required, including these fields will help create a more personalized and engaging Home Report for your clients:
    • Loan Amount
    • Interest Rate
    • Transaction Date
    • Purchase Price
4. Click Browse Files and choose your CSV or XLS file to upload. XSLX is not accepted.

5. Click Submit.

6. After you submit your file, our team will review it to ensure everything is formatted correctly. Please allow up to three business days for processing.

7. Once the review is complete and your file has been successfully imported, we’ll send you a confirmation email.

 

 

Duplicates Found upon Upload

When uploading your import file, clients with the same email and property address will be treated as duplicates and only the first instance in your import file will be added to the Home Report.

If there is a duplicate client both in the Home Report and within the file being uploaded, Home Report will only update missing fields with the data found in the CSV file.

For example, if you upload a client with an email address of jane.doe@email.com at 123 Main St. Orange, CA 92251 with an interest rate of 5.5%, and the same client in your My Clients tab is missing an interest rate, the interest rate will be added from the CSV file.

Missing Information

If required information is missing (name, email, address), we will notify you (see image below) in the email and that entry will not be uploaded.
