What is an IDX feed?
An IDX feed is a data connection that transfers listing data directly from an agent's Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
Why do I need an MLS IDX agreement?
Connecting your MLS IDX data feed to your ListReports account will provide you with a robust, comprehensive MLS IDX listing experience for features such as ListPacks® and Local Housing Market Data Shareables. When you share a ListPack or Local Housing Market Data Shareable, consumers can click to learn more about the listing, contact you directly, and explore the area with our interactive infographics.
How do I get an MLS IDX agreement in place?
To connect your MLS IDX feed, follow the instructions below:
- Go to the ListPacks tab within your ListReports account.
- Click on any of the Live ListPacks.
- Under the Live ListPack Image Preview, you will find a dark blue information box.
- Click enhance this feature and a pop up will appear.
- Fill out which MLS(s) you would like to have access to along with your Broker’s First and Last Name.
To complete your personal MLS agreement, a member of our team will be in touch with the next steps within two business days to unlock permanent access. If your agreement is not completed within 30 days, your account will revert back to the un-enhanced data experience.
Is there a fee for this?
ListReports does not charge a fee. However, your MLS may charge a fee as part of the MLS IDX Listing Agreement. The fee varies by MLS and is charged directly to you by your MLS.
What happens if I don’t complete an MLS agreement?
You’ll still have access to the features you love; however, the listing data will likely show fewer, less accurate listings and new listings may be delayed up to 24 hours.
What does “my MLS isn’t live” with ListReports mean?
This means ListReports does not have a direct feed with the specific MLS you selected so the data access is limited to our third-party providers. However, we’d love for you to be the first agent to receive this enhanced listing data in your MLS. If you are interested in getting your MLS set up with ListReports, submit your information via the Connect Your MLS section or submit a ticket here.
